The Green Bubble Problem occurs when a text message includes both an iMessage and Android user, causing all messages to appear as green bubbles instead of the typical blue bubbles associated with iMessage.

It’s such a small thing, but it’s annoying to both sides of the equation because it doesn’t stop at the color.

For example, using a “tapback” like the 👍 reaction to a message results in multiple texts explaining that someone has liked a message instead of just showing up as the reaction.

3. Accessibility Issues
