I hear this a lot lately:
“I think I can do that with AI.”

And sometimes, you’re right.
It might be able to be done with AI.

But here’s the quiet truth most leaders are running into:
Just because something can be done with AI doesn’t mean it will be, or that you are the one who should be figuring it out.

AI still needs managing. Prompting. Testing. Tweaking. Re-working. Integrating. Maintaining.
And when it breaks, or behaves differently than expected, you’re right back in the weeds, burning time you don’t actually have.

I’m personally testing a lot of tools right now. Some are impressive. Some are fragile. Some look great until you ask them to do one thing slightly outside their narrow lane and the whole wrapper falls off. The promise of AI is powerful, but the promise alone can keep you stuck in preparing instead of progressing.

I’ve talked with lots of leaders stuck in the same loop long before AI entered the chat.
“I know I can automate this spreadsheet.”
“I just need to dial in this process.”

So they research. And tweak. And rebuild. And troubleshooting.
And sometimes it works! 🎉
But when it doesn’t, instead of just doing the thing, they keep digging, hoping the system will save them later. In the name of efficiency, they lose hours, days, sometimes weeks.

Here’s the reframe:
You don’t just need AI.
You need someone who can manage AI with you.

An AI-enabled Executive Assistant isn’t replacing your thinking. They’re amplifying it. They help decide what’s worth automating, what isn’t, and what should just be done and moved on from. They manage the systems you’re hoping will save you time, so you can actually reclaim it.

Don’t let the promise keep you from the work that matters most.
Momentum beats perfect systems every time.
